FELIX CANE |

DIRECTOR | MASTER INSTRUCTOR | WORLD CHAMPION

Felix is a world renowned pole performer and showgirl, having performed her unique style of pole around the world with the spectacular Cirque du Soleil. With over 15 years experience, she is the only pole dancer in history to win the coveted Miss Pole Dance Australia title for three years consecutively and in recognition of this, was awarded the inaugural “Dame of Miss Pole Dance Australia”. She is also a two-time winner the the World Pole Champion of Pole Dance and Fitness. She’s left her mark on the art of pole in many ways, namely the creation of some of most challenging moves such as the the Eagle and the Spatchcock.

Her passion is teaching pole dance to beginners and elite performers alike, with a focus on form and function. She specialises in flexibility and strength on and off the pole using her background in ballet to train effective flexibility that translates to beautiful performance. More than anything she loves to ignite the spark of passion for dance and finds the most joy in laughing and dancing with her beautiful students.

 

RILEY |

STUDIO MANAGER | INSTRUCTOR

Riley has a long history in traditional dance; ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, theatrical to name a few! She is a seasoned performer has travelled internationally multiple times and has performed at Universal Studios and Disneyland, California USA. Riley started teaching dance at the age of 13 (2009) and continued until the age of 18 (2015), where her love of celebrating students for their individuality and dedication began. Her passion for creative arts extends to visual arts and makeup artistry, completed diploma of special effect makeup artistry in 2016 and has been working in the industry since.

After a short break from she returned to dance in 2020 in the form of pole reignited her devotion to the art of motion. Riley appreciates all motives for dancing; to tell a story, to feel good in your body, to have fun, to challenge your mind, and above all, to be totally engrossed in the moment and practice complete presence. 

Riley is a talented performer, compassionate instructor and also the engine behind all of the daily runnings and major events hosted by Polaris Studios. She is the heartbeat of the studio and is always so happy to help you with any need great or small.

 

NIGHTINGALE |

INSTRUCTOR

Nightingale began her pole journey in 2016 and after only 6 months entered her first competition and has been competing and performing ever since. Nightingale took out first place in the 2018 Felix Cane Amateur Pole Championship, becoming an automatic finalist for the international professional division in 2019. Throughout her pole journey Nightingale completed a Bachelor of Science in Registered Nursing and worked night shifts to juggle university and pole training during the day which is how her stage name was born! This education has provided her with extensive knowledge in anatomy, injury prevention and recovery which she passionately shares with her students.

Nightingale’s main priority is making sure everyone feels welcome no matter their background or skill level particularly beginners and first time pole dancers. She adores performing, theatrical shows and has an ear for musicality. Nightingale believes in utilising pole dance to develop self-esteem and maintain balanced mental health as well as physical strength and flexibility. She would like to assure everyone that you don’t need any of these attributes as a prerequisite before you begin as pole dancing will help you get there! All you need to do is to take the leap, book a class and she will help you get there at your own pace!

VALERIE JADE |

Valerie has always loved keeping fit and healthy, and was on the hunt to find something different to keep up her level of fitness. She fell in love with the art of pole and realised how fun fitness can be. With no prior dance, gymnastics or ballet background, Val is the poster child for hard work and dedication - these have allowed her to achieve things she never thought possible.

Valerie was a finalist in the 2016 Felix Cane Amateur Pole Championship (FCACP) the 2017 WAPC (Amateur), and won the Felix Cane choice award in the 2017 FCAPC. She placed first runner-up in the 2018 FCAPC, which secured her a spot in the professional 2019 Felix Cane Pole Championship.

Valerie now has years of experience in pole dancing and is passionate about sharing these experiences both on stage and with her students.

DANICA |

Danica has loved dance ever since she can remember, she has a background in hip hop and ballroom dancing. She first started pole in 2012 and has had an absolute passion for it ever since. She is a true creative and loves anything pole, flexibility, performance related. 

She enjoys teaching and helping people of any capabilities achieve their goals the most. As. a pole student she had always struggled to pick things up quickly so has a great understanding of the breakdown of movement to master each move from a beginner through to advanced level. 

She is an experienced and mesmerising performer having competed in multiple pole competitions from amateur to professional, International Felix Cane Pole Championships & State Miss Pole Dance WA

When she is not guiding her students through beautiful movement, training or performing she is a full time Mum and hairdresser.

Emily has been pole dancing since she was 14 years old and has always appreciated how it boosts people's confidence and makes them feel good.

Emily then started instructing pole dancing and competing. 

Emily participated in WAPC 2023 competition and the first MXPDWAA 2023 competition. Emily loves competing and inspiring others to do so! 

Emily is a passionate instructor that strives to make her students feel comfortable and assured in her classes.

She can’t wait to continue on her pole journey and see where it takes her! 

TARA |

INSTRUCTOR

Tara is an experienced and passionate pole and flexibility instructor with a love for sharing with others. She loves to encourage the positive impact that pole dancing has on her students. She loves to dance and experiment with new styles of flow.

Tara has competed in WAPC, MPDWAA and just received the tittle of MX-Floorwork 2023, the first MX pole WA and can’t wait to compete more!

Tara creates a comforting & uplifting environment in her classes and always aims to have each student leave feeling apart of the pole family! 

Fianna is best known for her unique choreography, which combines dynamic floor tricks and fluid flow with an emphasis on musicality. Having trained with world-class pole stars, competed and judged in multiple pole competitions, and co-owned one of the biggest pole studios in Hong Kong from 2017 to 2023, she brings in 10+ years of diverse experience.

Fianna aims to provide her students with a fun and relaxing class environment with attention to details, proper techniques, and styling tips.

After 17 years of coaching and competing internationally as a martial artist, the strength, grace and artistry of pole dancing compelled Erica to try her first class back in 2017. Since taking up pole, she has developed a passion for teaching and performing, and has competed as a finalist in WAPC and MPDWA.

In 2019, Erica graduated from UWA with a BSc in Sport Science and Exercise and Health.

The empowerment that pole dancing fosters is inspirational to Erica, and drives her to share her passion for pole with others.

Talia started training under Felix Cane in 2017 with no dance background at the age of 21 since then she has excelled at collecting as much dance and flexibility knowledge as possible. She prides herself on being approachable, understanding and compassionate to those coming into pole with zero dance or gymnastics training. Her goal in teaching is to always provide a warm and welcoming environment for all of her students to aid them in uncovering their full potential at Polaris.

She is a vital part of the events management team at Polaris and loves to organise events for the whole Perth Pole Community. She is also an avid learner and loves to devouring knowledge, currently she has bachelor of forensics, post grad in management and is now studying to be a nurse. UNSTOPPABLE!

NSTRUCTOR

Ains started pole in September of 2021 and quickly fell in love with the art form. Prior to pole she was involved in scouts and sailing, where she was a sailing instructor for 8 years. She was also an avid dancer and gymnast when she was younger and these skills have transferred seamlessly into pole. The knowledge and kills gained in strength and flexibility gleaned in her youth are now allowing her to excel within her new found love of pole dancing.

She competed in her first competition Miss Pole Dance Western Australia Amateur Division with just over 12 months of pole training under her belt in December 2022 where she was awarded coveted the title of The MPDWAA Miss Floor Work 2022, awarded to her for her seamless transitions and fluid floor work.

Ains is also set to graduate with a bachelor of surveying in 2023

With prior instructing experience, it came naturally for Ains to share her knowledge and passion for pole dancing with her students. She loves to welcome new dancers to the art with contagious positivity and joy.


 

CHELSEA |

Chelsea started dancing at Polaris in June 2022, with no prior dance experience. After her very first class at Polaris, she was hooked, and has been attending classes ever since. 

She loves the positive mental and physical impact that pole has had on her. Dancing makes her feel confident, free, and empowered. 

Chelsea loves that Polaris is like one big family, where you always feel welcome, comfortable, and supported, and where you are excited to walk through the doors and step into the fun and exhilarating environment!

Chelsea is passionate about making everyone feel included and welcome, especially those new to pole.

Mike is an experienced trainer amongst many other things; he leads his training with a developed ethos of open respect to all who seek to better themselves. Although working on the physical, Mike acknowledges the mind body union and teaches with thought and mindfulness. Over the years Mike has trained thousands of people who have engaged in activities from daily functional goals to elite gains in dance, fighting arts, sports and fitness at national, international and Olympic level. Mike’s qualifications and experience have been side effects of his intrinsic passion to learn, join in and share with others.

“I have known Felix for a while and liked the welcoming atmosphere of the studio. I initially came to Polaris as a student to attend classes (and still continue to learn) I am proud to be working as one of the Polaris team members for reasons beyond the dedication and expertise of each of the instructors; I am proud to be here because the acceptance and genuine desire to support people is clearly evident and transcends their physical capabilities.”

Mike’s qualifications include: graduate and post grad studies in exercise science, sports nutrition, neuroscience, psychology, design and filmmaking

With in-depth experience in Ballet, Contemporary dance, Boxing, Parkour, Yoga, Strength and conditioning

Mike is also a member of societies involved in the betterment of humanity.

 

TIANNA SPLITS |

Tianna discovered her passion for pole dancing in 2015 after just one class she knew it was her destiny. She has a back ground in contemporary dance and has always had an interest in stretching. Tianna started her self taught journey in flexibility at the age of 20. Through many years of training she has built her foundations in the importance of strength and conditioning for all movement.

Tianna participated in her first competition the Felix Cane Amateur Pole Championships in 2017. She loved being a part of the pole community and meeting other passionate pole dancers. After this she entered the Western Australian Pole Championships where she placed Second Runner Up in the Amateur Division. This brought her to the Sydney finals where she met even more amazing dancers and had the privilege to learn under one of her idols, Maddy Sparkle. She competed in her first professional competition at the Western Australian Pole Championships and Miss Pole Dance WA in 2019. Tianna has continued to compete and placed Second Runner Up in Western Australian Pole Championships in 2022.

As an instructor she specialises in spinning tricks, transitions and flexibility training. Pole dancing and the people at Polaris fulfil Tianna and keep her inspired, she loves guiding others through this journey with her. Tianna loves the versatility of pole dancing and how it expresses feelings and releases emotions. Pole is her muse and teaching means the world to her. She loves the way it can change people's lives for the better. Tianna thrives while teaching and connecting with her students through pole dancing. She feels honoured so to be a part of such a beautiful community and be able to influence others to join.

MYRA |

Myra has always enjoyed everything fitness and finding different ways to move her body. Growing up, Myra built her confidence through sports, dance and anything creative. She started pole dancing in November 2021 as a hobby that soon ignited her passion for pole.

Pole dancing helped Myra get in touch with her inner feminity and has helped to embrace her sensuality through flow classes.  She hopes to compete one day under the guidance of her amazing instructors at Polaris.

She enjoys creating and fostering positive cultures within her communities, ensuring inclusivity and support to all. When not at pole she is with her besties, travelling or being a fur-mumma.
